About Walter:

 Poor Walter started out life living on a chain in a backyard.  He loved his family, which included children, but they did not know how to take care of him.  He was eating and drinking out of old cut up anti-freeze bottles.  It was getting cold and he did not have any shelter.  Rather than risking him dying in the frigid Michigan winters or being surrendered to a high-kill shelter, a good Samaritan talked his owners into surrendering him to us so that he could get proper care and be placed in a home where would be part of a family … inside rather than chained outside.  Walter is very nice, sweet and cuddly, and is so happy to meet new people.  He is a puppy and does have puppy energy, but he is very trainable and eager to please.  At this time we do think he would do best as the only canine companion, but we will be working on socializing him with dogs.  Are you ready to take this lovable guy home with you?  We sure hope so.
