About Turbo:

Turbo is a five year old, purebred English Bulldog who came to us when his owner realized just how high-maintenance bulldogs can be. Missing a bunch of fur from food allergies and heartworm positive, Turbo wasn’t in the best of shape when initially rescued. With a little time, proper nutrition, and veterinary care, this 30 lb little bulldog is feeling much better; he does still need to go through heartworm treatment and we are hoping to find him a home to recover in! Turbo is a pretty calm little dude who gets short spurts of energy and pops around like a bunny. He likes to give sloppy kisses and go for short, leisurely walks; due to his breed, he does have a rough time in extreme heat and should not be subjected to vigorous exercise, but he is totally okay with this! He would much rather lounge around the house anyways! Turbo is not a big fan of the vet but does well with everyone else he meets. He is a curious dog who wants to be in everybody’s business and always needs to know what’s going on. He is not particularly vocal but does snort like a pig regularly. While Turbo tolerates most other dogs, he would prefer being the only dog in his furever home. We think he could do well with older children as well. Most of all, Turbo would benefit from an owner willing to keep his wrinkles clean and continue him on the limited ingredient, grain free diet that he requires.
