About Toast:
Toast is a very sweet Shepherd mix who was surrendered to us during single digit temperatures this winter; he was being kept on a chain in the back yard with no shelter and his bowls were upside down frozen to the snow. He was in danger of freezing to death. Despite the disregard his people had for him, he had an angel looking over him who was feeding and looking in on him until a rescue could take him. We are so lucky to have such as sweet soul in our rescue now. Toast is a very loving fellow who just wants to be with people; he is making up for lost time here and will run up to people he doesn’t even know to beg for love! Toast enjoys playing with other dogs and would probably do fine with kids as well; he has not yet been tested with cats. Toast isn’t incredibly happy to be in a kennel environment and cries at his kennel door to get out, but once he is allowed out to play, he is an incredibly happy boy!
