About Tex:
Texas Roadhouse, aka Tex, is a lap dog in a giant’s body. Despite weighing 110 lbs, this young Saint Bernard mix doesn’t realize that he’s a tad too large to curl up on your lap for snuggles or jump up (and put his paws on your shoulders) when he wants a hug! Tex believes that everybody is his best friend. He is a very happy guy who rolls over for belly rubs and enjoys going for leisurely walks (though he’s not the best leash walker… yet)! He does great with other dogs, keeps his kennel tidy, and has a very friendly disposition. While he does have a playful side, we often find him just laying out relaxing in the yard. Because of his size, Tex would do best in a home with children steady on their feet. Unfortunately, Tex has tested positive for heartworm. He will be undergoing treatment very soon but we would love for him to recover in a forever home!
