About Storm:
Hello there, my name is Storm. I am an approximately 3 year old pit bull, but my foster parents tell me I’m a princess!! I was found as a stray when I was a young puppy, I was so cold and hungry. The nice people who found me brought me to I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven where I was given nice warm blankies to cuddle in and food! Oh how nice it is to get regular meals!!
I am now living with my foster family, they spoil me so much. They buy me lots of toys and treats. Oh, how I love my toys. I love to play with anything from soft stuffed animals to tug of war toys and bones! I love to chew on buffalo horns and elk antlers. I am potty trained and crate trained. My foster parents tell me to go to Storms bed and I run right to it and will wait until they come and shut the door for the night. I especially enjoy my crate when they give me bully sticks or chicken feet to chew on! My absolute favorite part of the day is when my foster parents settle down to watch tv or movies, they let me curl up between them and cuddle all evening. I’m especially good at cuddling.
I have a foster brother whom I love to play with, we could play all day long if the parents would let us. My foster brother is quite the gentleman, I think he lets me win at tug of war because I’m a pretty girl.
I am still young so I have a lot of energy and would love a fenced in yard of my own to spend the day in running around. I am good with mild mannered dogs my size and bigger. I’m not a fan of small dogs or cats. Because of my energy level, I would do best with older kids as I may unintentionally hurt smaller children.
Because I was so hungry as a young puppy I am a little nippy when taking treats but we are working on that, if you tell me take it gentle, I will. My foster parents got me a slow feeder bowl because I eat my food so fast. They reassure me that no one will take my food but I’m not so sure about that so I like to eat my meals in my crate. Since I didn’t grow up with my mom or any siblings I am still working on my manners foster dad says I’m getting better though. I would definitely benefit from additional training and a strong owner because I tend to be a little bossy, but then again I am a princess!!
