About Serafina:
Serafina is a beautiful dilute red Malamute who came to us with her friend Nokosi after being found as strays; their owner was later located, but they were no longer wanted so were signed over to our care. Serafina is a stunning creature who wants nothing more than belly rubs and love! She will instantly roll over for belly scratches and won’t move until you’re done! She is rather polite and doesn’t show much interest in jumping up, keeps her kennel clean, and walks well on a leash. While we haven’t had her in any playgroups yet, she shows interest in befriending other dogs through the fence and is very good with her former housemate, Nokosi. Serafina is not a huge fan of being confined and has attempted to break out of her kennel; this is not uncommon for working breeds like Malamutes. She can also be quite vocal and has a very soulful howl! Serafina is a big, sweet girl weighing in at just over 100 lbs. She enjoys being outside in the snow and rides well in the car as well. We do recommend a home without cats and with older children who are steady on their feet. Though she has a wonderful temperament, we are currently only considering adopters with Malamute (or similar breed) experience.
