About Riley:
Riley is a super sweet young Red Heeler mix. He came to us from a municipal shelter that was overcrowded and needing to make space, one way or another. Riley seems to do well with other dogs at our Haven and may do well with cat too, however, Riley would probably do best without young children in the home as he can be nervous of quick movements. His ideal home would be one where there is not a lot of traffic; Riley can be a bit nervous in new settings and takes some time to settle in. Once he is familiar with his home and gains confidence in his routine, Riley is a great dog; however, he doesn’t like when strangers come into his home so would need slow introductions to any new people in his life. Riley is fearful of new situations and environments and could use come help with confidence-building. However, he does bond very closely to his people and loves cuddles and play-time. He is smart and easily trained with positive reinforcement methods. In the right home, we think Riley will blossom into a fabulous household pet!
