About Rico:

Rico, short for ‘Ricochet’, is a tiny, stub-tailed Border Collie mix who came to us from another shelter where he was set to be euthanized once his stray hold was up. We knew we could do better for him than that so brought him to our Haven to find his forever home! Rico is all energy, all of the time; he bounces rather than walks, wags his stumb so hard that he almost falls over, and spins in circles on a leash. He will definitely do best in a home with a fenced in yard and with a family that will give him a job to do, even if that job is just jogging at your side or playing frisbee in the yard. He does great with other dogs and doesn’t tire easy; he keeps his doggy pals on their toes! Despite his high energy needs, Rico is a sweetheart who enjoys cuddling and giving kisses. He rides decently in the car, learns things quickly, and is an all-around confident canine! Rico would do well in a home with kids who are steady on their feet, would love to share his home with another dog, and seems to do ok with kitties as well! We are amazed that someone let this boy get away; he has a lot of potential as a new best friend!
