About Proctor:

Proctor is a very loving middle-aged pit bull mix who came to us when one of our volunteers found him running as a stray in Detroit. He was very emaciated and while he had a collar on, it was old and tattered. Despite probably being misplaced for some time,, Proctor loves people! He climbs right up on the couch to snuggle with his foster dad and would cuddle under the blankets all day if you’d let him. Proctor gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with his furry foster siblings! Despite getting several meals a day, reliably, Proctor does still become a little posessive of his food; while this may subside in time, currenrly, he would be happiest if fed away from other animals and left to eat in peace. Proctor’s foster dad says he is somewhat housebroken but does still need reminders. Proctor is very people oriented and loves to give kisses; we think he is a really good dog who just needs a bit of love; he definitely wants to give it all back in return! Proctor will do fine in a home with older children who know to respect his space. He does well with other dogs as well, but we are unsure about cats at this time.
