Perry

About Perry:

Perry is an awesome little Pit Bull mix who came to us as a stray; a family member of one of our employees saw him running around with another dog and a heavy chain around his neck. He was believed to be a puppy due to his appearance but our vet actually estimates him to be around 5 years old! Perry is an excited little guy with cropped ears and a happy tail that never quits! He loves every person and every dog that he meets, gives great kisses, seems to be ok with cats (given a proper introduction), and overall acts like a much younger, over-excited puppy at all times! Despite the fact that Perry loves all dogs and people of all ages, he may do best as an only pet in an adult only home initially due to his tendency to guard toys and high-value food items. We are currently working with him on this issue but Perry will require continued training from his adopter. Perry loves to go on walks but could use some work on a leash. He does well on car rides and has yet to show fear in any situation! He will make an excellent addition to just about any family! Unfortunately, Perry has tested positive for Heartworm Disease. He will be undergoing treatment soon but we would love for him to recover in a home of his own!
