About Pearl:

Pearl is a lovely and regal hound who was taken into protective custody by animal control due to neglect by her former owners.  While we are not familiar with all of the details of her case, it is obvious that she was not fed and probably kept outside without adequate shelter for warmth and protection from the elements.  Despite what appears to be a horrible past, she is such an affectionate, caring and forgiving lady who really deserves another chance at a good life.  That’s why we rescued her from a county shelter – we could not live with ourselves if she left this world not knowing what it was like to be loved, well fed, and content in a warm and safe home.  Although she has not been with us for very long, she has approached men and women with her eager and friendly disposition, and we think she would thrive with older children who can respect that she is a senior girl.  But don’t let that label fool you – Pearl has the energy of fellow canines that are half her age!  So help us show Pearl how good life can be by choosing a senior dog as your next companion.  The gratitude you will receive in return is so rewarding.

1 Ages are typically approximated by vet

2 All dogs will either be spayed/neutered before adoption, or a $100 deposit will be collected and refunded when spayed/neutered through I Heart Dogs or through adopter’s veterinarian
