About Peaches:
Peaches is a young 20 lb terrier mix who was found by a kind woman with a severely injured foot. Despite being in obvious pain, she was still a very sweet pup and never once lashed out at us. While we initially expected that time and medication were all that would be needed to fix her up, it was quickly discovered that infection had spread to the bone and gangrene was setting in; the leg had to go if she was to survive! Peaches had her leg amputated shortly after coming to us and moved to a foster home to recover! It didn’t take long at all for Peaches to settle in thlough! She very quickly adapted to having only three legs and can still run laps around the other dogs in her foster home. Peaches loves toys and running around outside. She enjoys being around people and is familiar with following human rules in the home! She gets along great with other dogs, seems to do ok with cats, and is just an overall happy little girl! Peaches can be a little possessive of her toys and food so may do best in a home without small children. Otherwise, she would thrive in just about any home environment!
