About Onyx (Oni):

Onyx is a sweet younger girl who came from a loving home. Unfortunately, her mom couldn’t care for her anymore, so she did what was best and brought her to us. Although she is very sweet and well trained she is very stressed in the shelter environment. She is very confused about being here and misses her loving home. Her favorite thing to do with us is play ball in the big yard. She loves all sorts of toys and is very food motivated. She enjoys frozen peanut butter bones on hot days. Since being with us we have tried to get her with dog friends, but she is very fearful of other dogs here. We think it is because she is so stressed here but she should be fine with dogs in a home. Her previous owner did say she was good with dogs though. She is also good with cats although she’s a little fearful of them so slow introductions are needed. She loves to cuddle and just be around her people especially if you have treats. We are looking for a loving low-key home for her, but we do believe she will be ok with children and long as they know to give her space when she needs it. She is crate trained and used to sleep in bed with her owner. She also loves walks and car rides. She will warm your heart and home if she’s given the chance.
