About Montana:

Montana is as sweet as they come but her poor body shows that the first 3 years of her life haven’t been kind. She was adopted a couple of years ago from another shelter; her new family did not spay her and she appears to have had a few litters as a result. She was returned to that shelter following two home invasions and a divorce. Upon her return, she was missing several patches of hair, and had badly infected ears resulting in a hematoma. She was transferred to us shortly after and has since undergone veterinary care. Unfortunately, Montana needed to have her entire ear removed to ensure the infection wouldn’t return; the surgery left her deaf in one ear and with some minor nerve damage on one side of her face which causes her to drool sometimes, but this was a small price to pay for overall good health! Montana gets along with other dogs but would do best in a home without cats. Montana’s foster mom says she is a very easy going dog. She loves to sleep in her bed by her humans on the floor. She is pretty calm most of the time but she loves to play ball and will play fetch; she definitely will feed off the energy in the house and should adjust to just about any lifestyle with ease. She does not bark much, is crate trained and will go in when you tell her to. She is on a grain free salmon diet and has to be kept on an allergy medication; her allergies are the main cause of her chronic ear infections and skin problems. Don’t let a one eared dog fool you… she has much love and kisses for her new family!

Montana is living in a foster home so introductions will need to be scheduled ahead of time.
