Markie

About Markie:

Markie was surrendered to us due to a change in living situation that occurred with her previous family. She was originally adopted in 2015 by a family with young children and never had a problem with the kids. Markie was occasionally sent to doggy daycare while her family was away and did well playing in large groups of dogs. She is well-rounded pup who never tried to escape and never dug up her family’s garden. She does enjoy chasing squirrels (we aren’t sure how she would do with cats and other small animals) and hanging out in the backyard but prefers to be indoors when it’s hot. Markie knows some basic commands (such as “sit”) and will wait to eat until she is released to do so, but she could use some practice walking on a leash. At night, Markie loves her kennel but is happy to sleep on the floor near her human’s bed as well. Markie loves car rides and particularly enjoys baby carrots as treats! She can be nervous of loud noises like fireworks and weedwhackers. Overall, Markie is a sweet, gentle, mellow girl who will make the perfect companion for the right family!
