Lucky

About Lucky:

Lucky is a senior shih-tzu who came to us as an owner surrender. An unfortunate situation meant she was no longer able to care for Lucky and she only wanted the best for him, so brought him to us for help! Lucky is almost completely blind in his right eye due to an injury earlier in his life but he doesn’t let that slow him down at all! However, we believe he would do best in a home without young children who may accidentally startle him. Lucky bonds quickly to his person and will sit on your lap all day if you let him; he loves to just hang out and follow you around the house as you go about your daily chores. Lucky is a wonderful little dog who loves to hang out on the couch and get pets. He likes running around in the yard and is good with other dogs and cats! Lucky is very playful for an older guy and doesn’t act his age at all! He has a little bit of a sassy side at times and is just an all-around happy boy. He is house broken and will let you know when he need to go out. He is also great for grooming, which he needs to have done frequently — his new owner must be willing to keep up with his ever-growing coat! Lucky is a non-shed breed and as such would be a great pet for many people with allergies. We would love for him to find a wonderful home to live out the rest of his days in!

Lucky is living in a foster home so introductions will need to be scheduled ahead of time.
