About Julius:

Julius might just be the happiest dog we’ve ever seen! At 3 years old, Julius has spent much of his life outdoors. Despite this, he is an extremely loving boy who wiggles his stubby tail and smiles the moment he sees anyone come by! He doesn’t have much by way of manners but seems eager to learn; he is ready to experience life as a family pet! Julius gets along well with other dogs and would probably do ok with children of all ages. Julius’ former owner shaved him down for some reason so we aren’t sure how long his coat actually is; we expect it to be about the length of a German Shepherd’s fur. Julius is just a little guy, weighing in at about 40 lbs. He is a great sized dog for just about any environment, but due to his energy level, we don’t think he would be suited for apartment life. He is a gentle, sweet boy who deserves a chance to live inside with a family who loves him. Unfortunately, Julius has tested positive for heartworm disease. I Heart Dogs will cover all costs of treatment at our local vet but his adopter will need to be committed to getting him to and from appointments and following the doctor’s recommendations.
