About Gideon:

Gideon is a young Belgian Malinois who came to us from another shelter. He is one of the happiest dogs we’ve met, but also one of the most energetic and intelligent. Typical of his breed, Gideon almost vibrates with energy when he is cooped up for too long and picks up on new things quickly; he LOVES to learn and wants to please his humans more than anything! Gideon also adores toys and prefers them to most treats; a game of tug or a quick game of fetch makes a good reward for a job well done! While Gideon is very smart and has been working on his manners during his time with us, he will benefit from a family committed to giving him plenty of exercise, guidance, and obedience training. Gideon does great with other active dogs but can get a bit intense during play time. He can also get a little protective of his best doggy friends so large group play may not be best for him! He would do best in a home with teenagers and older due to his energy level. Please note that we will only be considering individuals or families with experience raising working breed dogs for Gideon; he is a very intelligent and active dog who needs an experienced handler to be the best dog he can be!
