About Esther:

According to Esther’s foster mom, this little youngster is going to be the best addition to any family, including one with children and dogs!  Esther is bouncy, playful, happy-go-lucky, trusting, confident, affectionate and smart.  From the moment Esther wakes up in the morning to the moment she goes to bed, she spreads happiness with her spunky personality.  She can even get a 12 year old senior dog in the house get up and move around!  Without any training, Esther walks well on a leash, and with very little training is getting better at basic commands and learning to potty outside.  She loves to ride shotgun in the car, say hello to people in the DQ line, and greet people in the office during adoption hours.

She is such a joyful little girl especially considering her first home did not take good care of her.  Esther came to us with a severely broken leg that the vet reports must have been broken for a while as it had begun to heal improperly. Animal control transferred her to us so she could recieve the care she needed as soon as possible. Treatment included surgery to rebreak her femur and have a metal plate screwed on for it.    Even the surgery didn’t get her down … she was up and moving around within 2 weeks almost as though nothing happened.  She is ready to start life in her forever home and she will let you know how much she loves and appreciates you for picking her!

Esther is currently living in a foster home so introductions may need to be scheduled ahead of time.
