Ella

About Ella:

Ella is an absolute sweetheart. She does fine with other dogs (although she generally doesn’t play with them), ignores cats, and absolutely LOVES car rides (where she is on her best behavior)! Ella even does well with children, but may get a little nervous when young ones all converge on her at once. She loves trips to the dog park where she is basically an observer, but will get a little territorial if she’s claimed a spot under a picnic table in the shade. Ella will need a patient adopter as she has trust issues. Her former life was not a good one and her interaction with humans was limited to someone tossing her and her family food. She was never really treated as a pet and as such, has not developed a strong bond to people yet; but we believe she could! Ella does not seek out affection but welcomes petting if she is laying down. She will back away if you approach too quickly. Ella would love a home with someone who has the time and patience to teach her what being a family pet is really all about; she deserves a great life.

Because Ella is in a foster home, introductions need to be scheduled ahead of time.
