About Eli:
Eli is an all around great dog who is already well trained. He knows sit, shake, down, fetch and even seems to understand stay. He would be great for anyone on the go that wants to take their dog with them because he is so adaptable. And if you show Eli a tennis ball, you have his heart forever … he LOVES them!
The reason we are not recommending he go to a home with cats is because he acts like he wants to play a little rough with them, which might be a too much for most cats. He did not show aggression toward cats when he was tested. Basenji’s have a reputation as not being barkers, but because Eli is a mix, he does bark but not to the point that it is an issue or anything.
