Dexter

About Dexter:

Dexter is a young pit bull mix with tons of personality and charm! He is a very, very smart dog who learns new things quickly and is eager to continue learning; he already knows sit, down, come, touch, push it, leash on, leash off, leave it, take a break, shake, place, target, sit pretty, and he has an amazing long distance recall! Dexter is also incredible on a leash and has the best “stay” of any dog we’ve ever seen! He loves running around in the yard, playing with toys, going for walks, and most of all… playing with other dogs! Dexter would wrestle with his doggy pals all day if given the chance! Add in a pool or a hose and you’ve got yourself one happy pooch; Dexter LOVES the water! Unfortunately, Dexter does not get along with cats, and because he can be protective over things he believes are his, we think he would do best in a home without children. Otherwise, this boy is AWESOME and will make somebody an amazing new family member!

As an added bonus, one of our volunteers has sponsored Dexter’s adoption fee because it’s time for him to know what life in a forever home is like.
