Bubba

About Bubba:

Bubba is an Olde English Bulldogge who was surrendered to us when his owner moved to a new home that wasn’t pet friendly. Although he was very much loved, his former owner really didn’t have the ability to care for the needs of a Bulldog and, because of this, Bubba was not in great shape on arrival. Suffering from severe allergies, Bubba was missing clumps of hair and smelled of infection. He was diagnosed with a yeast infection and had such terrible ear infections that his ear canals closed up completely and were oozing pus. Poor Bubba hasn’t felt very well for quite some time! Although not 100%, Bubba is undergoing veterinary care for all of his maladies and is beginning to look a little better already, but definitely has a way to go! Bubba is a older gentleman who enjoys sprawling out on his bed, sitting in the sun, and getting pet. He is friendly but overall just a laid back sort of dude. He won’t require much exercise and would be happiest in a home where he can just curl up next to his human companion and watch TV. Bubba is fairly food motivated and will quickly get up for a piece of cheese or a bowl of kibble. He gets along with other dogs just fine but prefers hanging out in the yard to running and playing. Currently, Bubba isn’t able to hear much at all; we are unsure if he will remain hard of hearing once the infection has cleared or not. His ideal home would be a calm, quiet environment where he can spend his golden years relaxing. His adopters will need to be prepared to provide whatever food or medication may be required to prevent his allergies from flaring up again. He would do great in a home with another dog and would be fine in a home with calm, respectful kids.
