About Antonio:

A good samaritan brought Antonio to us after witnessing a car pulling over in a neighborhood street, coaxing him out, and then speeding off to leave him in the dust.  And yes, this poor dog ran after the car in hopes of catching up.  It truly is heartbreaking to see.  But all of that is Antonio’s past because the moment he set foot in our Haven, his odds of a happily-ever-after greatly improved.  Antonio is a sweet boy who greets everyone with wiggliest bum you have ever seen, and he shows off his pearly whites with that signature big pitty smile.  He loves playing with other dogs, and is just starting to learn how to walk on a leash.  Antonio needs some basic obedience training, coupled with consistency, to help him break some puppy habbits that he still has, which is why he presently would do best with teenagers and older. But overall, this cutie has the potential to be the best companion and just needs the right people/person to commit to his development and harness his energy through exercise and mental stimulation.  Please think about giving a black dog a chance as they so often get overlooked in rescues and shelters across the country.
