About Achilles:
Achilles is a big, hunky 80 lb Bullmastiff mix who was wandering in a Detroit park for several days before someone picked him up and brought him to us. Despite our efforts, he was never claimed and is now looking for his forever home! Achilles is young (probably only a year or two old) and has the energy and manners of a youngster too – his ideal family values positive reinforcement training and will sign him up for classes. He is incredibly affectionate, does well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them through the fence. Achilles adores people and has no problem meeting strangers. Due to his size, he would do best in a home with teenage children , and with a family that has experience training giant breed dogs. Mastiff experience is preferred.
