Hank

About Hank:

Hank is a 3 year old beagle/hound mix who was taken to a shelter after evading capture for 3 MONTHS! Animal control was finally able to live trap this boy, who came off as very shy and would not approach humans. After capture, though, this boy turned into a big SWEETHEART!!! Hank is a stocky dude who has a bit of an obsession with chairs — he would love to have a big comfy chair of his own to hang out on in his new home. Hank is a very quiet, mellow guy who prefers lounging and getting belly rubs over running around and playing. He can be quite silly though, when he DOES get a playful spurt; he will roll around in his blankets and bounce around for a little while before deciding that he’d much rather take a nap. Hank does well with other dogs but doesn’t seem to want to play with them — he should be okay with a well-mannered dog that can teach him the ins-and-outs without being overbearing. Hank has not yet been tested with children, but we believe he would do just fine with children of all ages due to his laid-back temperament. Although we are unsure how he would do in a home, Hank keeps his kennel spotless and runs right to the door when he needs to go out and potty.
