About Ricky:
- Ricky is very friendly and greets new people with a big ole rottie smile and a wagging stump tail!
- Ricky’s favorite thing to do is run around in the yard swinging his favorite rope toy. He has a very boxer-like personality and uses his paws for everything — he even uses them to cheat in tug-o-war.
- He rides well in the car.
- Ricky does well with other dogs, but is best suited for younger dogs who have a lot of energy like him. Older dogs may not tolerate a big, energetic, goofball like him.
- Ricky has very mildly protective of his food which could be a result of how malnourished he was when he was found. If he was pushed repeatedly and his warning signs ignored, he may eventually react — however, he usually chooses to simply pick up his food bowl and carry it away.
- Ricky was displaced in Louisiana due to the summer hurricane disasters, and he was initially very malnourished and sick. He has since regained his health and was up to a whopping 80 lbs at the time of writing this — he could still use a little more weight on him!
