Every now and then we come across an opportunity to help our feline friends, and such is the case with Rocky. Rocky came from a home where there was a new dog, and they were not able to work out their differences. Rocky is a 9 yr old Orange Tabby, who is front paw declawed and neutered, and up to date on his shots. He is adorable, with a feisty personality and can be quite the character! During Rocky’s time with us, he has mellowed quite a bit, and has become quite affectionate and playful with the staff and volunteers whom he has gotten to know and trust. Even though he takes a few extra minutes to become familiar with some (but not all) new people, he will steal your heart in no time. Rocky would do best in a home with no dogs or very young children, and as an only kitty, as he tends to be the “man in charge”. There is a possibility that he may be fine with a female cat, who is older and laid back, but he would dearly love to be the only pampered cat in a house that would love him and make sure he stayed with them forever.
He is not yet considered a senior, as the age for that is over 10 yrs, and he has plenty of spunk! Rocky LOVES to chase feather teasers and toys, and he also loves his meals! He enjoys head scratches and sitting on your lap, if it’s what he chooses. He allows himself to be picked up and held, but that comes with becoming familiar with new people. He would make a fantastic companion for a family or single owner who wants a kitty to pamper and adore for the rest of his life!
