Gideon

About Gideon:

Gideon is a kind boy that we were asked to pull from a high kill shelter.  He loves people, and is very loyal to those with whom he has bonded.  He is gentle when playing with him in the yard, thoroughly enjoys going for walks, and has shown interest in cooling off in the kiddie pools.  He likes playing with other dogs and befriended our beloved Bowser who recently passed away.  Gideon is also athletic dog who will race around the yard at top speed, is enjoying learning our agility course, and is easy to train because he is motivated by treats.  Gideon’s ideal home would have a privacy fence because he does know how to climb 6′ fences – again, the athlete in him who needs to visit Planet Rock for the rock walls instead!!!  Until Gideon is comfortable in his new home, he would also need to be crated or kenneled (in something strong) because he did demonstrate some separation anxiety when he arrived with us.  We have some ideas to help with this and would pay a trainer to do an in-home session to work with you on helping Gideon through this.  Lastly, we are looking for a foster for Gideon because he has tested positive for heartworm and will be undergoing treatment to get rid of that nasty worm setting up shop in and around his heart.
