About Ringo:

Ringo is a big handsome pit mix around 5 years old. His ears are perpetually bouncy like a puppy’s! Whrn Ringo came to us, he was a literal skeleton. With some good food and time, he has come a long way… but he could use a few more pounds to look his best! Ringo is a very calm, couch potato type of dog; he doesn’t do much other then lay around. He likes to lay on his back and watch television. He really is the perfect dog for lounging with at home; he doesn’t ask for much in return. He does like to chew antlers and nylabones and enjoys ripping squeakers out of toys. He gets along well with other dogs and can just coexist with them rather then constantly play — but if they want to play, he will join in for a short while before he’s ready to nap again. He is housebroken but when he goes out, he likes for you to go out with him. He never chews up anything he shouldn’t and doesn’t get into anything. Because he was found starved, you shouldn’t leave food out because he is a food hound. He WILL find it! He will either need to eat out of a puzzle, slow feed bowl or sprinkled on the floor to slow him down a bit during his meals. He does an excited dance when he knows your bringing him food, and even though he was starved, he takes treats very gently. He knows “sit” and will sit automatically for a treat. He could go on short walk potty breaks and be fine — he os a low activoty kind of guy. Ringo can be nervous of new people and needs a little time to warm up. He is fearful of loud voices and quick arm movements or objects. His ideal home would be a calm, adult-only home with someone just looking for a couch buddy.
