About Farrah:
Farrah is an absolutely beautiful, 35-ish pound mixed breed dog who resembles a Golden Retriever. She is approximately two years old and came to us from a rural shelter with her litter of puppies. Unfortunately, Farrah hasn’t had much interaction with humans prior to coming to us and while she is not aggressive, she has no idea what it means to be a dog. At this time, Farrah does not allow petting and doesn’t know how to walk on a leash. She doesn’t play with toys and seems completely shut down. We aren’t sure how she will do with other dogs yet but she seems to ignore cats. Luckily, Farrah is incredibly food motivated and becomes very brave when there sre tasty treats involved! Our resident dog trainer thinks that Farrah will come around with a patient handler willing to spend lots of time teaching her that humans mean only good things, but this is difficult to accomplish in a shelter where there are so many other dogs to take care of. We are DESPERATE for a foster home for our beautiful Farrah!
