About Scruffy:
Scruffy is a handsome Wirehaired Terrier mix who came to us from another shelter. He was a little frightened initially but has come around a lot in that time! Now, Scruffy runs all over the yard playing with other dogs and will run right up to people to greet them! Scruffy has a thick, wirey coat that will need frequent grooming. He is also a little on the chunky side and would benefit from a diet to drop a few extra pounds off his waistline. We believe him to have a breed makeup consistent with that of a low-shed, hypoallergenic type pet so he may be a good addition to a family with allergies. Scruffy enjoys the companionship of other dogs and would do just fine in a home with school-aged children. He can be a tad bit nervous in new environments so younger children may be a little too much for him. Overall, Scruffy is a wonderful companion dog who is just looking for a family to call his own!
