About Matilda:
Matilda is a super sweet pit bull mix puppy who came to us with her two sisters after being found near a business in Detroit. They were very scared upon arrival and Matilda was in the worst shape, with infected wounds covering her face and head. Fortunately, she recovered quickly and there are no physical reminders of whatever happened to her. Unfortunately, Matilda does show signs of suffering from a compulsive need to chase her tail, especially when stressed out or put into uncomfortable situations. Matilda is currently staying in a foster home to learn to curb this habit but will need further assistance in her new home; Matilda’s adopter may need to seek medical assistance if her tail-chasing doesn’t slow down once settled into a new life. Despite this, Tilda is doing fantastic in her foster home, is working well on potty training and basic obedience, gets along with the resident dog, and has even met cats without incident. We believe she would do fine in a home with older children. Her ideal home would come complete with experienced people willing to help her adjust to life as a family pet!
