About Agatha:

Agatha is a beautiful Cane Corso who was found wandering around by herself by our local animal control. We believe she was loved at one point (she still has remnants of nail polish on her claws), but has probably been on her own for some time; her fur is sun-bleached in areas, she looked to have had puppies fairly recently, she was a little on the thin side, and most importantly, tested positive for heartworm disease. Unfortunately, her owners were never located so we stepped in to fix her up and find her a new home. Agatha quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite due to her laid back demeanor and love for all things people. She is very well mannered, already knows “sit”, “give paw”, and “lay down”, walks great on a leash, and greets strangers gently. She has very expressive eyes and seems to be happy all the time, no matter what life throws her way. Agatha enjoys chewing on soft squeaky toys, going for car rides, and relaxing at her people’s side. She does fine with other dogs and has such a gentle temperament that we think she would go fine with children of all ages. She has shown some signs of seperation anxiety during her time with us so may benefit from a home where she won’t be left alone all day, or where she has a canine sibling to comfort her. Overall, Agatha is an amazing dog who will quickly blend into her new home.

Agatha will be undergoing heartworm treatment and double entropia surgery very soon; we would love for her to have a furever home to recuperate in!
