About Lee: FOSTER HOME NEEDED
Lee is a Shiba Inu mix who came to us from another shelter; he had originally been found as a stray with a hip injury and had little chance of making it out alive… until we stepped in! Lee has been examined by a vet and is on pain medication but is not able to have his required hip surgery yet because, unfortunately, Lee also tested positive for heartworm. He will need to have his heartworm treatment before he can have his hip surgery… Both of these procedures will have an extended healing period. For this reason, Lee really needs a foster or adopter to step in and welcome them into their home while we are providing his treatment! Lee is an exceptionally happy dog who doesn’t take long to bond with new people. He is a mellow dog who enjoys digging burrows in his blankets and snuggling in bed. Lee shows signs of enjoying leash walks as he will pick up his injured leg and hobble along next to you while wagging his curly tail high; we think once he is recovered, he will make an excellent walking buddy! Lee likes other dogs but can’t be allowed to play rough for a while. He loves stuffy toys and will roll on his back in his blankets while shaking them around. Lee also loves his people and will nuzzle into your lap for pets. Overall, he seems to be a well-rounded, quiet pooch who lives life and would do well in just about any home. Lee would currently do best in a home without small children but may do just fine with them once completely healed and pain free!
