About Maxwell:
Maxwell is a super sweet young Red Heeler mix. He came to us from a municipal shelter that was overcrowded and needing to make space, one way or another. Max loves interacting with people and will jump up to give hugs and kisses and wags his stumpy tail like crazy whenever he gets your attention. While he does enjoy snuggling up and sleeping in his comfy blankets, we think he would also benefit from long daily walks or playtime out in the yard. Maxwell seems to do well with other dogs at our Haven but may have an adjustment period when living with another dog; he seems to not like sharing people’s attention with his doggy playmates and may need to learn that there is plenty of love to go around. Max would probably do best with school-aged children and up and has not yet been tested with cats.
